Sela Sullivan is resolved to be the best maid of honor ever, even if it means tolerating the best man. Insufferable, too-handsome Luke Watters is not only the guy who humiliated her at a kissing booth in high school, but he also happens to be her best friend's older brother. Positive he's the same arrogant jock, Sela vows to focus on her duties and steer clear of the frustrating—and frustratingly tempting—Luke. As a world-renowned extreme-sports photographer, Luke is used to undertaking life-risking adventures. But risking his heart for the beautiful Sela Sullivan, who clearly still hates him for his rejection all those years ago? He didn't see that coming. Sela inspires a passion he's never known, and the more time they spend together, the more he craves her. But can he prove to the maid of honor he's become a man of honor?

MY THOUGHTS

This was a really cute story full of family devotion that I fell in love with. With Sela being Luke’s little sister’s best friend and his best friend’s little sister, she’s all kinds of off limits to him. That doesn’t stop his body from wanting or his mind from wandering. He doesn’t handle it outwardly very well though and there lies the drama. Watching the two of them iron out their history and dance around the present is cute and fun, though occasionally frustrating as they’re continually being told to stay away from each other and not talking about the important things.

The love scenes are closed door unfortunately, but the chemistry is so strong and tangible that you don’t mind it. The only particular complaint I have is Sela’s name. People call her “See” as a nickname on occasion, and I never picked up on it until the last third of the book because of how I’d been pronouncing her name in my head. It was pretty off-putting as I just thought the characters talked a little funny now and then. Other than that, it’s truly an endearing and sweet read!

About Robin Bielman

Robin Bielman is the USA Today bestselling author of over twenty novels. When not attached to her laptop, she loves to read, go to the beach, frequent coffee shops (and by frequent she means daily but she’s trying to break the habit), and spend time with her family. Her fondness for swoon-worthy heroes who flirt and stumble upon the girl they can’t live without jumpstarts most of her story ideas. She writes with a steady stream of caffeine nearby (see above) and the best dog on the planet, Harry, by her side. She also dreams of traveling to faraway places and loves to connect with readers.
