MY THOUGHTS

Love Lies Deep – This story left me a little depressed and a tad confused. The entire beginning of the story was about mourning a loss and I couldn’t quite tell what exactly had happened in the end. I like the concept, but the execution could have been a little smoother.

Idle Hands – Creepy and mysterious, this story held me riveted. Think sex club meets haunted house. I was left wanting more, almost as much as Travis and Matthew were!

Costumes – There is some erotica in this one, sure, but I think I’d actually classify this story as more of a horror. A strange door in the attic and once opened good luck figuring out what’s real and what’s not. It was spooky enough to unnerve me!

Eden – I was a little disappointed, a passage cut off right when it was getting good! The ending is nice and mysterious as I couldn’t tell which realm was which. Makes you wonder about mirrors and what might lie behind them.

Set in Stone – Yet another mysterious story, but I suppose any paranormal short story about Halloween is going to be a little mysterious. There was also a fun and sexy side too though. It took a minute to figure out what was happening during this little camping trip for a dare, but once I did, it made for a very enjoyable story with a neat ending.

About Dianne Hartsock

After growing up in California and spending the first ten years of marriage in Colorado, I now live in the beautiful Willamette Valley of Oregon with my incredibly patient husband, who puts up with the endless hours I spend hunched over the keyboard letting my characters play. I have to say, Oregon’s raindrops are the perfect setting in which to write. There’s something about being cooped up in the house while it pours rain outside, a fire crackles on the hearth inside, and a cup of hot coffee warms my hands, which kindles my imagination. The intricate and fragile nature of the mind is always fascinating. Having worked with the public through various careers I’ve come to respect the resilience and strength of the human spirit. I’m always trying to capture that spirit in my writing. Currently, I work as a floral designer in a locally-owned gift shop. Which is the perfect job for me. When not writing, I can express myself through the rich colors and textures of flowers and foliage.

About Elin Gregory

Elin Gregory lives in South Wales and works in a museum in a castle built on the edge of a Roman fort! She reckons that’s a pretty cool job. It certainly provides more than enough inspiration for her writing. “The button from a military jacket found in an orchard, a 16th century Venetian coin found between the cobbles of a Welsh street, a carnelian from a Roman signet ring – one can’t handle them without wondering who lost them, how much they regretted it and what kind of disaster was sparked off by the loss.” Elin always has new works on the go and she is currently finishing a novel set in 6th century AD England and contemplating one about the British Secret Service between the two World Wars. Any excuse to buy more books!

About Kiran Hunter

Kiran’s early years were spent living in Cyprus and, later, in Hertfordshire and Kent, England. Cambridge is home now, but the mountains of Wales often beckon. Kiran’s interests include psychology, philosophy, literature, art and music. Psychological thrillers fill the book case and rock music fills the iPod. The dark side of human nature is a constant fascination and the inspiration behind much of what Kiran writes, but sometimes the lighter side is tempting…

About Renee George

USA Today Bestselling Author, Renee George writes paranormal mysteries and romances because she loves all things whodunit, Otherworldly, and weird. Also, she wishes her pittie, the adorable Kona, could talk. Or at least be more like Scooby-Doo and help her unmask villains at the haunted house up the street. When she’s not writing about mystery-solving werecougars or the adventures of a hapless psychic living among shapeshifters, she dons her superhero cape and rescues kittens. Okay, the kitten totally showed up one day and suddenly she’s got a new pet named Simon. She lives in Missouri with her family and spends her non-writing time doing really cool stuff…like watching TV and cleaning up dog poop.

About Tristram La Roche

Tristram La Roche was born in London and spent much of his childhood in Europe. His career has included tourism and yacht charter, as well as a brief period working as a freelance journalist. His interests include travel, art, theatre, cinema, books and current affairs, and he is passionate about the rights of the GLBT community.
