,ÂAfter I rescued these jerks from a plane crash, you’d think they’d be nicer to me. I die, like all the time. My track record of hilarious, freak accidental deaths would be impressive if it weren’t so embarrassing. And when I come back, I’m naked. Every. Dang. Time. After my plane was sabotaged and crashed into the jungle, I rescued five male survivors from the wreckage. I could have let them die, but no, I decided to pull their stupid carcasses from the wreckage. I’m immortal, not a monster. Yes, they’re hot, now is not the time to do something about that. The five sexy jaguar shifters are on a mission to locate someone, a rare phoenix shifter. Phoenix, the legendary creature, reborn every time it dies. Wait… …Could they be looking for me? It doesn’t matter since they walked away and left me to die in the Amazon rainforest. A place full of interesting new ways for a klutz like me to die. Surviving the jungle is harsh, but it’s nothing compared to how they have treated me. And the worst part? It turns out these bullies are my fated mates. Yep, I must be cursed. I can’t wait to escape the jungle and leave these guys behind, but another part of me is begging to love them… Was the Amazon always this hot?

MY THOUGHTS
Rhyls is so endearing, I just want to crawl into this book and give her a hug and cuddle for how lonely her life has been. On top of that, she faces terrible circumstances, and the men are complete and utter jerks. They even know what she is to them and still treat her horribly. My opinions of them were all over the place throughout the book.
About the Characters
Rhyls is my kind of person. She’s resilient, adaptable, perseverant, and not easily rattled. Knox seems to be the fun one and maybe the “softer” one. Dagger is doting yet aggressive in a good way. Jett is a thinker. He assessess before acting or adding his two cents to any given situation. I don’t even know where to start on Mace and Anzac. They were the cruelest of the bunch.
Things I Liked
I loved everything about Rhyls, and her deaths were hilarious. She’s a total badass and Imp is just so much fun. I can’t wait to see what else she’s capable of.
Things I Didn’t Like
I know it’s fiction and Rhyls isn’t a real person, but damn do I bow before her with utter respect if for no other reason than the fact she kept her cool while NAKED in the JUNGLE. I couldn’t help cringing just a little every time she sat down on the ground or even a log, but especially whenever she stepped foot in the water. ::Shudder:: Props to her. I also hated how a few of the guys kept giving her really mixed signals. Being jerks wasn’t enough, they had to confuse her too?
More Thoughts
I do find it interesting how long it took for the guys to realize who she was. How else was she able to do everything she did for crying out loud? It was neat to watch as they all discovered something about each other or themselves at seemingly every turn. As much of an emotional rollercoaster as the whole book is, it still down’t compare to the heartbreaking ending.
Bottom Line
I don’t normally like “bully” stories, but this one was actually completely enthralling. Well worth the read!
